Safety, for players and parents
Quorix is a games platform for playing with friends. Here is what is in place to keep it friendly, and what to know before you start.
What is in place
No real money
Coins are earned by playing and spent on cosmetic things only. They cannot be bought, and they have no link to real money.
A chat filter
Text chat is filtered for bad language. There is no voice chat.
Block and report
You can block any player, and report one so an administrator can look at it.
Fair games
The server decides every result and coin award, so scores cannot be faked from a player's computer.
For parents and teachers
- Free, with nothing to buy. There are no purchases and no subscription.
- Accounts are made in the app with a username and password. This website only has Sign in.
- Players can talk to each other by text: direct messages, group chats and forums. Friends and parties are the main way people play together.
- The website tracks nothing: no advertising or analytics scripts. See the privacy page.
- On a school network it may be blocked; ask the school before installing anything.
Good habits
- Use a password you do not use anywhere else. The connection between the app and the game server is not encrypted yet, and encrypting it is on the to-do list.
- Do not share personal details in chat, and block anyone who makes you uncomfortable.
- The app has a built-in reminder to rest your eyes.
