Questions about the games
How the games, rankings and coins work.
Where do I find a game's rules?
Every game has its own page on this website with How to play, and every game card in the app has a Rules button.
Do I need friends online to play?
No. Online games match you with other players in a queue, or you can invite friends or queue up as a party. Solo games you play on your own.
What happens if my connection drops mid-match?
The match pauses for up to 30 seconds instead of ending. The app logs you back in by itself and puts you straight back into it.
How do rankings work?
Nineteen games keep an Elo rating: beating a higher-rated player moves you up more than beating a lower-rated one, and the reverse when you lose. Four games keep a best-score board instead. Both are on the Leaderboards page.
What can I spend coins on?
Cosmetic things only: username colours, chat badges, profile frames, cursors and themes. Coins have no connection to real money and cannot be bought.
Can I practise against the computer?
A few games have an offline practice mode against the computer so far: Tic-Tac-Toe, Battleship and Rock Paper Scissors. More are planned.
Can I ask for a rematch?
Yes, after any Chess, Battleship or Rock Paper Scissors match you can challenge the same opponent again with one click.
Are there tournaments?
Yes: four-player single-elimination brackets for Battleship and Rock Paper Scissors, which you can browse and join from the Tournaments page in the app.
Can someone cheat or fake a score?
The game server decides every result and every coin award, so scores and coins cannot be faked from a player's app.
What if someone is rude in chat?
Chat is filtered, you can block anyone, and you can report a player so an administrator can look at it.
Is there voice chat?
No. Quorix has text chat only; voice chat was deliberately left out.
Will it run on a slow computer?
Quorix is built to be light, and the app includes a performance mode for slower computers.
